Thursday Afternoon

For the second afternoon class we played a game called "Name That Word". In this game the kids have to describe something without using the word. The other children on the team have to guess the answer. It helps the kids think and speak in English. They also did a reading and writing worksheet. For conversation, we talked about Junior High School life and what they expected using the words hope, think and know. (I think Junior High School classes will be difficult.), (I know English will be easy.), (I hope I will have fun.)

Thursday Afternoon

For the early afternoon class, the kids practiced a song with Candice, then we played "Rich Says", a game where the children have to listen and do exactly what the teacher says. We practiced our reading book and the conversation was a review of the last month.

Thursday

When the weather is nice, Thursday is park day for the morning classes. Yesterday the weather was beautiful so we went to the park in the afternoon. The kids had a great time blowing and chasing after bubbles.

Wednesday Afternoon

For the first class in the afternoon, we are continuing to go through the book "Teach your Child to Read" we played Bingo with phonics words, and the conversation was "She is my mommy(daddy, brother, grandfather, grandmother). She in tall(short, pretty, young, old). Ayaka, you are great on the piano!! For the second class, the kids played Candice's favorite game, Boggle. I think Candice likes the game more than the kids do. For conversation, we talked about what country we would like to travel to and why. We also celebrated Nayu's birthday. Happy Birthday Nayu!

Wednesday Classes

For the morning classes, they have been studying the life of David the shepherd at Bible time. For art the kids made a sheep. They also had a chance to do some art and math at the same time as they made numbers out of clay. Great job guys

Happy Birthday Girls

For the second class, we celebrated Hiroe and Mana's birthdays. Happy Birthday Girls!! We played Sequence and the conversation was "Whose jacket (shirt, sweatshirt, shirt) is this? This is Miyuu's jacket."

Tuesday Class

For the first class, Candice continued to work on the new songs with the kids. We played Bingo and the conversation for the day was "I can walk (run, skip, jump)

Monday Afternoon

For the 2nd class, the kids gave Rich birthday cards. Thank you so much for remembering:) Ayane was absent so we waited until Tuesday to celebrate the birthdays for the month. The conversation was about clothing. "What is she wearing? She's wearing a blouse (a dress, a shirt, pants, shorts)."

Monday Afternoon

For the Monday afternoon class, Candice taught the kids some songs with dance moves. The letter was "W" and the conversation was "up, down, in, out, turn around.

Rich's Birthday

Candice and the kids had a surprise birthday party for Rich yesterday. A friend of ours, Kyoko made a delicious and the room was decorated. Everyone hid and yelled "Happy Birthday" when Rich walked. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness.

Preschool Kids

Here are some pictures of the morning kids doing schoolwork, playing hopscotch and drawing with chalk outside for art. Nice hopping Mari. :)

Park Day

When the weather is nice, the preschool kids in the morning usually go to the park on Thursdays and last Thursday was no different. The kids enjoyed playing and drawing with chalk in the sand.

Wednesday/Thursday Classes

For the Wednesday and Thursday classes, the conversation in the red book was "He is tall (short, pretty, ugly, young old). The conversation in the yellow book was I want peaches(grapes, pancakes). He wants....

Tuesday Class

For the later class last Tuesday, the conversation was " Which one do you like? I like the big ( small, red old pretty) one.
